Hey, I'm Pranav. A Malayali by roots, raised mostly in Bengaluru with a few formative years in Sweden and Singapore along the way. Right now I'm in Auckland, pursuing a Master of Business Analytics with a specialisation in FinTech at the University of Auckland.

I recently cleared FRM Part I (GARP). The statistics and frameworks behind how the world prices, models and manages risk, financial and otherwise, genuinely fascinate me, and FRM felt like the cleanest way to go deep on that. Now working towards Part II.

I'm curious about the places finance is changing fastest: crypto markets, prediction markets, and how AI is reshaping analytics and decision-making in financial services. I love working in client-facing environments where tech meets business, and I'm at my best when I get to translate something technical into something a stakeholder can actually act on.

Outside work

I'm an active person: motorcycles (CB300R, CBR500), and a serious sports fan: basketball, football, cricket, F1 and chess. Throw in stand-up comedy, cooking and the occasional indie/rap deep-dive and that's most weeknights and weekends accounted for.

Bangalore traffic teaches you risk management before any textbook does. You ride knowing a scooter will cut across three lanes, a bus will brake for no reason, and a stray dog could appear out of nowhere. You can't predict any one move, but you can respect what you don't know yet: prep the obvious, watch the rest, and keep moving. Risk in markets is the same idea, just with bigger numbers.
